Ivan Velichko

Hi there! I'm Ivan Velichko, a seasoned software engineer with over a decade of experience in full-stack, server-side, and infrastructure development. My career has taken me through various roles, including SRE and platform engineer in a Big Tech company, lead developer, and even founding engineer at several startups. I've worked on high-load server-side projects, designed distributed systems, and developed internal platforms for other engineers.

My passion for sharing knowledge has been a central theme throughout my career, and this blog is one of its manifestations. In my articles, I dive deep into Linux, networking, containers, and other Cloud Native tech to help readers grasp these complex subjects. My blog posts are packed with explanatory drawings and often augmented with interactive playgrounds to make learning easier and more fun.

I'm also the founder of iximiuz Labs, a learning platform where you can master server-side skills by solving real-world DevOps challenges, sprinkled with the right amount of non-boring theory. To make hands-on learning even more accessible, I created a place where you can spin up carefully crafted remote sandbox environments right in your browser or from your favorite terminal and experiment with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and more.

I love making technical topics understandable and seeing others succeed, and it's been great to receive recognition and respect from the tech community for my efforts.
